The project concerns the creation of two separate spaces in a three-floor private house of a four-member family. The basic synthetical principle was the conversion of every new ambit – surface to a multifunctional storage & play space. The mezzanine – designed according to the children anthropometry – is circumscribed by a colorful zone of storage drawers, closets and a fun – entrance ring. The small ladder to the mezzanine is made of custom drawers and the large multifunctional longitudinal furniture has 2 sliding blackboard and magnet panels, for pictures, drawings and kid’s expression. Game and action are completed with a small climbing wall so that no surface stays boring and unused.
The small office is used by all family members and the main goal was to create a functional space with as much storage space as possible. Because of the limited floor square meters, the main wall surface was coated with top-to-bottom shelves and cabinets. The office is designed as a wooden stripe that frames the windows and sets a light line in all three space dimensions. Light color tones and wood are chosen for a small space designed for focused and calm work conditions.
